    Are you an undergraduate student passionate about media effects and issues related to race and ethnicity? Our lab offers a dynamic, hands-on experience where students actively contribute to ongoing research projects, helping to explore these critical topics.

    As a research assistant, you’ll have the opportunity to engage in a variety of activities, including:

    • Conducting literature reviews
    • Designing and testing experiments
    • Coding and analyzing media content
    • Assisting in data management and statistical analysis
    • Supporting the drafting of research reports and summaries

    We encourage our research assistants to connect their lab experiences to their academic and career goals, gaining valuable skills in research design, critical thinking, and data analysis.

    Commitment: We ask for a minimum of 5 hours per week (equivalent to 2 research assistant credits) each quarter.
