• Current Research Themes for Projects

    Media & Marginalization

Our research explores how media representations impact marginalized groups, focusing on how these portrayals shape social identity, as well as their social, psychological, and political integration.

    Media & Intergroup Relations

We also investigate the role of media in shaping intergroup relations. Particularly we examine how media content influences attitudes and behaviors towards majority and minority groups (i.e., racial, ethnic, and religious).

    Digital Media & Identity

We are also interested in examining how social identities are formed, expressed, and influenced through our interactions with digital media.
